Dr. Chris McDaniel joined his father at the Hartland Smilemakers in 1999. A graduate of Southfield Christian High School, he went on to study at Calvin College and the University of Michigan Dental School, where he earned his DDS, graduating seventh in his class. Dr. Chris has taken numerous classes in Crown & Bridge, Implant Placement and Restorations. He has been an active BNI (Business Networking International) member in the Hartland Chapter since 2003. Dr. Chris and his wife, Betsy, have two boys, Trevor and Connor. Raising a family and actively serving in the church and community is very important to both of them.   He coaches both of his son’s basketball teams and enjoys skiing with them as much as possible.

Dr. Ryan Miller joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2007. He was born oversees on an American Army base in Germany. When he was three years old, his family moved back to Michigan where he grew up working in his father's dental office. He graduated from Birmingham Groves High School and then attended the University of Michigan. He graduated with honors from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School in May of 2005 and married his longtime girlfriend, Candice. They are now a family of four with their 3 year-old son becoming a big brother to their new baby girl.  Dr. Ryan has won awards in the fields of Crown and Bridge Dentistry, Periodontal Surgery, Implants and Removable Dentures.  Through continued education, he has expanded his dental expertise to provide Orthodontics for all his patients, which includes traditional braces, invisible braces and early childhood treatment.  When Dr. Ryan isn’t working he enjoys spending time with family, working on his house and soccer.

Dr. Ken McDaniel began practicing dentistry in Hartland, Michigan in 1975. He grew up in Livonia and is a graduate of Detroit Catholic Central High School. Dr. Ken’s undergraduate work was completed at the University of Detroit, and his DDS was earned from the University of Michigan Dental School.   Prior to setting up a practice, he served as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force.  Dr. Ken and his wife, Jane, are the parents of three sons: Tim, Chris, and Jonathan. They are also the proud grandparents of five grandkids.  The VINA Clinic in Brighton is appreciative of the time he volunteers to help them and he was also part of a team that helped an orphanage in Guatemala.  Dr. Ken enjoys golf and continues to be active in community and church activities. 

Karolyn - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1999.  She enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, music, sewing, sports and working with the youth at church.

Michelle – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2002.  Her interests include horseback riding, travelling, family (especially the grandkids) and the great outdoors.

BJ – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1978.  She enjoys Detroit Tigers baseball, time with family and friends, reading and crossword puzzles.

Kim L. – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1989.  She enjoys golfing.

Kim F. – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1998.  Her interests include spending time with her family, travelling and gardening.

Beth – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1999.  She enjoys golfing, cross country skiing, running and spending time with family and friends.

Shannon – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2003.  She enjoys gardening, walking, camping and motorcycle riding.  The rest of her time gets filled with Relay for Life, Special Olympics, Stephen Ministry and church activities.

Loreé - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1989.  She enjoys spending time with family, attending church and related activities and all sports.  She also loves to cook!

Mary - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 1995.  She enjoys motorcycle riding, spending time with family at the lake and especially enjoys her new grandbaby.

Maria - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2000.  Her interests include being with her family and friends, riding bicycles, picnics and reading.

Lori - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2003.  She enjoys spending time with family and all her animals, camping and bonfires.

Dodie – Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2003.  She enjoys riding her Harley (motorcycle) and spending time with her two German shepherds.

Julie - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2006.  Her interests include camping and campfires, canoeing and boating, and spending time with family and friends.

Denise - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2002.  She enjoys travelling, cake decorating, reading and being with family (especially her grandkids!).

Sue - Joined the Hartland Smilemakers in 2006.  She enjoys bike riding, walking nature trails and babysitting her daughter’s horse while she is away at college.
