Relay For Life

Imagine that you have been told you have cancer. Now what do you do?
You can't afford your cancer treatment. Can anyone help?
You are unable to get to your treatment appointments. Can someone help?

The American Cancer Society can help because of the success of the Relay for Life events.
On May 15 and 16, 2010, The Hartland Smilemakers will again put on their walking shoes for the 24-hour walk around the Hartland High School track. For 24 hours there will be someone walking to help ACS create a world with more birthdays.

We invite you to help us with this endeavor.

1. We are making a quilt and we need your help. When you make a donation you can select a square to sponsor. Once all the squares are sponsored, it will be donated to someone in the Hartland community who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
2. Help us decorate our Relay for Life tree with ornaments you can purchase in honor of someone. We will have an assortment of shapes to select from.
3. We have been hard at work making our specialty "bravisors" and tote bags. You're not going to want to miss these!!!!
4. We will have a Bake Sale in our office from Monday, May 3 through Friday, May 7. Come and treat yourself to some delicious goodies!
5. We will again sponsor a Mother's Day Tea at Tyme Well Spent Tea House in downtown Hartland on May 8, at 1:00 pm. To make a reservation, please call 810 632-9921.
6. And as always, we encourage you to come and walk with us any time between 9 am on Saturday, May 15 to 9 am Sunday, May 16. There is always a lot going on around the track and your help is very appreciated.
